The Olenine family is registered in the VI Book of the old the oldest Russian families. This family belonged to the governments of Ryazan, Toula, Tver, Tambov, and Voronezh; there the possessed lands and such into the XVII century in the districts of Schatz and of Smolensk.
In the Book of Russian Heraldry it is said of them: “Various members of the Olenine family were in the service of governors, acquitting due tasks for the nobles and paying land taxes in 1615 and in other years.”
The coat of arms represents a woman in a red alb who holds in her hands a quatrefoil, her head being crowned, who site above a bear, all above a field of gold.
